Yo Solita Me Enseñé comes from Tejanas in the early twentieth century in South Texas as they describe how everything in their environment was made themselves or was self-taught (deshilado, bailes, caseros, food, music, artwork, etc). Collectively it represents the transformation of this cotton fiber and the histories that the landscape has shown me.
