Using old agricultural tools and various parts of machines & appliances now obsolete, I created small sculptures that speak to the various body parts and movements associated with hard labor and illustrate the delicate balance between hard resilience and vulnerable softness of the body. The green paint color was sampled from the photograph of my grandmother's yard titled "Sweetness of the Monte."
